Dear friends,

We are delighted to announce that this year the POEM Conference is returning to the UK!

POEM 2022 is an international conference focused on recent, critical technological advances and innovations in the fields of novel photonic, opto-electronic and electronic materials and systems. Applications cover a wide range, from communications, computation, and artificial intelligence, to energy harvesting, bio-chemical sensing and biomedical science.

POEM 2022 will provide a unique scientific networking platform to meet, exchange knowledge, and establish links between experts from academia and industry. All talks taking place in-person will be simultaneously streamed to the STEMM Global Networking Platform.

Submission Deadline is April 30, 2022

Each author is requested to submit a one-page abstract in .doc(x) format.

Note: you will get a Submission Confirmation email as soon as you submit the abstract. In case if you didn’t get such an email in 1 hour (even in Spam folder), please resubmit it.

Abstract Preparation Guidelines

The abstract should be prepared in the following format:

1. Use A4 size paper.
2. Use margins of 2.5 cm (1”) on all sides.
3. Use 12 point Times New Roman for the list of authors, affiliations, main text, and references. Smaller fonts may be used for figure captions. For the title, please use 14 points Times New Roman and bold face.
4. Title, list of authors, and affiliations should be centred.
5. Insert one blank line between the title and the list of authors.
6. Underline the presenting author.
7. Insert one blank line between the corresponding author’s email and the main text.
8. Main text should be fully justified with single spacing.
9. Start the first line of the main text (and the new paragraph) with a +0.6cm (0.25”) indent.
10. Insert one blank line between the main text and references.
11. The width of each line should not exceed 16.5 cm (6.5”).
References should be presented in the form:
